AFAICS, to do this in an automated fashion by using a filter, an
essential ingredient is missing and that is the ability to invoke the
mass mailing feature via a macro or a filter action. I can't find
anything of the sort. It seems worthwhile to create a mass mailing
macro such as %Massmail and this would be triggered when multiple
addresses are in the To: field. Also, having the mass mailing feature
as a filter action would help greatly. A good way of doing this would
be to add it as a toggleable option in the areas where addresses are
added in filter rule actions or simply as a filter option. Lastly,
mass mailing needs to be associated with more than just a quick
template. You should be able to mass mail any message on the fly via a
drop down menu or something. You compose the message, fill in the
addresses and then toggle on mass mailing via a drop down menu.
