No. This has nothing to do with it.

I have a P3 W2k and 256Mb RAM and I use it also for
mass mailings and template: 1722 people at a time and it's working
fine.

1. Is there an error message?

2. Is there enough disk space?

3. Have you run CHKDSK /F and restarted the computer?

4. Are you sending them to the editor or to the outbox?

5. Is the outbox set as deferred? It should especially
on the large ones. If not, it will try to create message
and send at the same time, which will make it seem like
it has died.

6. How many macros are you using, the regex chew up
much more CPU, which take make it seem to take forever.
