This has been a long time annoyance, and I think some (including
myself) have sent this to RIT as a suggestion. You might want to send
it in as a feature request too - er, something. The developers seem to
be very busy people, but I'm assuming they actually read all of their
mail.

A work around is to use an address book handle for that contact.
Example:
First Name: Christian
Last Name: Stiller
Nick: chris
Address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Then in the To field, just type chris and hit Tab. That way you don't
have to worry about case (there, at least).
