Let me give you a synopsis of the method behind my moderatorial madness on
this issue. :=) In the past, betas were discussed on TBUDL and as a result
of this, features introduced in betas were being confused with features
present in official release versions. This would lead to the development
of threads for the sole purpose of clearing up the confusion. Bugs were
just as problematic, i.e., raising false alarms etc., and since then we've
tried to keep the discussion of betas confined to the beta list, including
the reporting of bugs.
Also note Marck's point in that the developers read the beta list a lot
during the beta cycles and bug reports mentioned with regards to specific
betas tend to be prioritised, even if it may have been present for some
time. :=)
