Sorry I was going from memory. Ok the settings I was talking about
are in the account properties dialog box. Then if you click on
'transport' on the right side of the box, you can alter your mail
settings as you suggested in your earlier mail (ie the pop and smtp
settings). The receive mail section has an 'authentification' box you
can press to get to more settings and that was the box I was refering
to. Normally I had gmx set to the highest setting in there (md5 cram
I think the third one down anyway ,the 4th down is greyed out to me)
but this setting now gives the server reports err message and I had
to go back to using 'regular' ie the topmost 'radio button'.
I hope that makes more sense this time, sorry for being so vague
before. Again all help greatly appreciated.
