You're quite right. Sorry to ) not read the post properly and b) offer
false assurances. I haven't seen any reports of this one being fixed.

I don't think so. This would probably fall in Stefan's code and he's
been on holiday for the past week or so. Since it's a security hole
and a BUGTRAQ report, I would expect it to be fixed in the next round
of CC changes (apologies to non-beta users, to whom this will sound
like nonsense).
