Hello Nick,
While Win2K may well be a good possibility for several people, the "horror
stories" about WinME are largely undeserved. WinME is just very picky
about having updated drivers, and in some cases, it requires software that
is written with specific WinME support.
I "upgraded" to WinME from Win98SE, and it was the best thing I could have
done for this machine. It's *far more stable* than Win98SE ever was - and
Win98SE was a factory installation on this machine.
