In the properties window, there is an option to use the account
default column settings. When I was setting up TB! someone sent me
this useful advice:

Actually this list makes pretty slick use of the to column, because
you can tell whose message is being replied to. You might want to set
up this folder different than the default for that reason.

You can change your subscription options on most lists to get rid of
the prefixes. That's what I've done. TB! doesn't let you edit
subject lines.
