Not too many days ago, I experienced major problems here when I tried
to download the newest version of The Bat. Some of you may remember
that message.
Now I notice that on June 19 *most* of my mail folders in The Bat were
suddenly modified and emptied. All of the messages that should be in
those files have disappeared. (But the folders survive.)
It is interesting to note that some folders/messages were not
affected:
InBox
OutBox
Sent
Trash
XYZ
This may be a clue: When I recently attempted to install 1.53bis
(unsuccessfully) my then-current version of The Bat program was
overwritten and then would not work. Now I am forced to use an earlier
version: 1.46d that I had kept. Can this reverting to an older version
be the cause?
