I find in 1.53d that when I choose to attach a file (MIME-coded), and
choose the file directory, there is a lack of functionality in the
choice of file by extension (ZIP comes up by default as the file
extension):
(1) if you use the drop down extension choices (File TYPE), and
choose one, it will NOT exhibit those files in the directory window.
(2) if you manually type in the extention in the File NAME window
(i.e., *.doc), the files WILL appear in the directory listing.
Without Item (1) above working properly, there is no reason to have
the long list of drop down choices ...
