No it ain't.
Netscape stores read/unread status somehow internally. Exporting to
mbox-Format does not _really_ support read/unread status storing. There're
some kinds of 'Status:' Header field used for that, but AFAIK they're not
standardized like in a RFC.
So how should TB! be able to recognize the former status?
So it simple assumes: imported newly, therefore unread _within_ TB!, ergo:
"Status = Unread".
