Hi,

Douglas Hinds hasn't been able to post to the list so I'm posting this,
one of two messages on his behalf for discussion. He does receive mail
from the list.

Hello other TB! List subscribers,

Some time back I posted an inquiry on TBUDL regarding whether it is
possible to get TB! to open with determined View Folders open. I was
told it wasn't possible. Now I am thinking in terms of putting an
icon on the desktop that opens a given folder's View Folder.

So far, I have been able to open a single message saved to any
folder, but that's not the object: I also want to be able to use
alt+v+m to see all of the messages there. The problem seems to be
related to the fact that they are are there collectively in the data
base.

In Explorer, 2 files are shown, a .tbi & a .tbb (on my older
version). After associating them with TB!, opening either one gives
me a message editor window containing itself as an attachment.
Obviously, this is not what I want.

This may have to be sent to the developers. Whatever code opens the
real thing should recreate the scenario. The hard thing would be to
open the View Folder to the most recent message - or most recent
read message - but there has got to be a way it could be done.

Any ideas?

Douglas
