I must admit, I'm a threading idiot... but I do know that neither
"References" nor "Subject" produces acceptable results --
although "Subject" seems to be the lesser of the two evils. I
know there has been much discussion about this, but I have never
had sufficient time to really dig into it myself.

I can see your point, but more often than not, I am glad it
doesn't automatically save everything in one shot. Many times I
have used the save all attachments, and then cancelled the save
for "message.htm" and/or other "junk" attachments.
