Hi

I am attempting to synchronize my notebook computer and desktop but it isn't
working as I would have expected. Specifically the messages and new
folders I have created on my desktops do end up on the notebook, but
new filters or changes to filters are not synchronized. Here are the
steps I have following:

1. On notebook (system to be updated)I go to synchronize and check off
all boxes. I select the first option and create a file called step 1
and save to my notebook drive.

2. Then, I go to my desktop and go to
synchronize and the second option which I run on the file named step 1
(I am on a network at home so I do this directly on the file saved on
my notebook drive). This then creates a new file, which I save on the
notebook drive as step 2.

3. I go back to my notebook and select option three from synchronize.
I then run option 3 on the file named as step 2.

At that point, it seems that my notebook computer now has on it the
"new" messages and folders from the desktop, but the filters are the
same. For example, this weekend I added some new filters and modified
some others. None of those filters or changes are on the notebook
even though I afterwards synchronized as set forth above (all
synchronization boxes were checked off so it isn't due to not checking
off some boxes).

What am I doing wrong?

Also, I notice that the synchronization *adds* new messages to the
notebook Bat. It does not delete messages that I deleted on the
desktop. For example, this weekend I read through about 1000 old
messages on my desktop and deleted them from a folder. After
synchronizing with the notebook, the notebook does have any new
messages that were on the desktop when I synchronized but the notebook
still has the 1000 messages on it that I read and deleted on the
system. Synchronization appears to add messages to the notebook but
not to delete messages. Is this the way it is supposed to work? If
so, I assume the only way to have the notebook look like the desktop
is to either delete messages manually from both systems or to copy
over the notebook the mail folders from the desktop (which sort of
defeats the purpose of the synchronization feature though).
