Hi, I saw someone posted this question last month, but I didn't find an answer.
About a week ago I started getting a pop-up message "Invalid argument to date encode." every time I start The Bat!. I made no major changes that I know of. The message, which requires me to press or click on the 'ok' button is quite annoying. It gives no clue as to what it is talking about, no reference codes or numbers, and might as well be in Greek. I figure only someone who has access to the code would have a clue, unless someone else has solved this problem. Further details. 1) I do sometime install other programs or utilities to try. One of them could have had an effect, but I don't have a clue where to look. 2) the file "the_bat.gid" in The Bat is dated within a day or two of when this started. (don't know what the files is - it appears to be where the text messages are kept) 3) I don't remember when I updated to the most recent version - may have had an effect. 4) tried: Re-install The Bat! (no effect). close all other programs, then start. (no effect) -- Thanks, Jerry Using The Bat! v1.53d on Windows 98 4.10 Build 1998 400Mhz P-II, 384meg memory, AT&T@Home connection -- ________________________________________________________ Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Vers: 1.53d FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com
