Hmmm. I've personally never seen this.

How do you get rid of it. I usually can't and just have to ignore it.

This was long ago discussed and it was agreed by most users (that is
most vocal users) that TB! should remember and go back to the message
it was left on. This is what it presently does.

I'm not sure if TB! always remembers where in a folders message it
last was and I often open folders to see the first message in the list
selected.

My feeling is that it should be configurable.

Hmmm, again, all folders behave the same here for me in that within
the same session, TB! will bring you back to the message you last had
selected when browsing the folder. At times, this information is lost
and upon opening the folder, the first message in the list is in
focus. This however, happens the same with all folders.
