A> sounds a bit like using a sledge hammer to put in a pin. I don't think so. My point is that I can use the middle mouse button the usual way, everywhere else in Windows. If you use the intellimouse software, you've bound the middle mouse button to F4 which is really only useful to you when replying to mail. The other thing is that being able to simplify repetitive tasks into one keystroke, mouse movement or a combination of the two is the natural way to go if you're willing to learn how and use the relevant software. PowerPro is a good example of software that service these other needs as well. The beauty of it is that defining each keystroke doesn't have to be system wide. It can be application specific. What does seem like a sledgehammer to me is to install separate mouse driver software to do one thing. Note that your mouse will work without intelli-mouse software installed. :-) If you install it just to get the F4 working *system wide* with the middle mouse button while you can install something else and get a lot more functionality, then the choice seems clear to me. :-) After all that's said, YMMV.
