I've had similar experience quite often ever since I got a version with the new Connection Center. In my case, the CC just sits there, not showing any activity and trying to abort or delete the task does nothing, which is a little irritating. TB itself, though, doesn't hang or freeze. I think this happens mostly with the couple Web mail accounts, but whatever the reason, I'd prefer that CC would quit with an error message.
