When I looked in the log I saw this: "! has not been sent. Server reply -- replying to < email address given here > prohibited by administrator." After checking and double checking all my settings I still couldn't figure out what the problem was. Finally I called my ISP (Internet Service Provider) and found the error was some software problem on their SMTP server. They gave me a different address to use for SMTP purposes and that cured the problem.
