Hi Thomas,

On 26 November 2001 at 15:58:45 [GMT+0800] (which was 07:58 where I
live) Thomas F wrote to Rmi Pach on TBUDL and made these points:

Just to explain a bit further.

RITlabs have announced this decision to gain a tighter control over
beta cycles. The TBBETA list is now the only place to find out about
betas and to participate in beta testing. This move has been inspired
by the appearance of a beta version on a magazine cover disk
somewhere, which I'm sure you'll agree makes a good case for tighter
to be introduced in this way.

Anyway, beta software should not be for casual use. It is for testing
on behalf of the developers and requires feedback to them to be of any
purpose.
