You could create a filter on your "particular recipient" and apply
  to a template with
%TRACKINGNUMBER random 32-bit number, in hexadecimal which can be used
as a tracking number in (for example) support correspondence

Or can use Id message (by default on the bat message), macro is
%OMSGID insert the original message's Message ID (taken from the message headers)

Or you can execute a programme which generate a number and write a
flatfile, and after applie a template wich include flatfile.
If you want I have already written a such prog.

But for all that, you must send messages for apply to a template.
Because, it's not possible to *copy* message in TheBat folder **with a
template**. I hope it will good soon. :-) And please join to me for that (I
have already post a message wich demand that "The Bat! - request [Add
Template for copy messages to another folder]")

I hope it's good for you
