-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Joel,
On 04 December 2001 at 11:33:10 [GMT-0600] (which was 17:33 where I live) Joel E. Cortez wrote to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and made these points: JEC> Hi Can someone tell me how to configure "The Bat" to work with JEC> Netscape webmail. "The Bat" has settings for IMAP4 which JEC> Netscape uses. I've used the settings on Netscape 6.2 with "The JEC> Bat" but I keep getting a message "unable to connect to mail JEC> server". Thanks! Joel E. Cortez <moderator> Please do not write to the list in HTML. It is against the list rules and many of the members here do not appreciate it. Some even have filters to move any HTML mail directly to trash. </moderator> As to your question ... it is hard to say what the problem may be. The Bat uses the standard IMAP4 port settings (143). It is up to you to have entered the server address and authentication data correctly. If you have then it should all work as it is supposed to. You say "Web mail". That implies a web interface, not an IMAP interface. The IMAP interface in such a setup is usually all server side and is accessed using a web browser. If you're certain you can access it from a remote IMAP4 client then TB will be able to do so, although not necessarily be able to reflect and use the IMAP remote folder layout. You may need to to to someone at Netscape for more clarification. - -- Cheers -- .\\arck D.
