As I've seen from another message you use a slightly altered command
line with Subject and Body placeholders included, which I don't use.
This may explain the differences.

I am quite sure the Opera bug for default mailers (it affects others,
too) will be gone in a few weeks with a version 6.02 or 6.2 (out of
tradition).

A hint maybe the error message we receive with Opera's current final.
Looks like it adds a question mark at the end of the mailto link,
which would render it useless. Windows cannot discover a URL type but
looks for a file with a corrupt extension (i.e. mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?).
Every instance on my machine testing this came up like this, and
everyone reporting the same problem showed the same corruption.
Opera'S developers know of it, hopefully they can pinpoint the
culprit.
