If there is one thing about the_Bat! it is the stability. I grew up on Eudora, from version 1 to version 4. I really liked it and it did enough of what I needed an e-mail client. Unfortunately, from version 4 (and then v. 5) it started crashing unmercifully. A newly formatted hard drive and fresh installation of Eudora worked perfectly...for 1 month. Then it would start crashing on opening folders, closing folders, exiting the program, etc. Very disgusting and that was when I started looking for something else. I don't think the_Bat! has ever crashed on me, or if it did, it was likely something I did.
