Sorry for using it... ;o) But if you want to use plain ">" instead, go
to "Account -- Properties", then select "Templates", then "Reply". Now
you can change this setting in the lower right corner of the menu. Set
it to "None"

Take a closer look at the template in the same menu. There you can also remove
the signature block or customize it to suit your own needs. Find more
information about templating at "Help -- The unofficial FAQ page"


And here's one more important thing I only just learned yesterday (I
am a new user, too). I will just quote that here:
