I've often heard people state various "reasons" for having Hotmail and
Yahoo accounts (I used to have both once upon a na�ve time).  I have
not however, been convinced by *any* of the "reasons" ("spam catcher",
"OE compatibility", "forced to by my boss", etc.).

Since this is quite OT for this list, I'll be happy to hear about your
"reasons" for such masochistic email behavior on TBOT.  ;-)

Well, I did mention Web2Pop. As the Hotmail service itself will never
provide you with POP3/SMTP servers to use, your only "technical work
around" is to use something like Web2Pop.
