BUT.... having looked more closely at some of the ones I assumed were not working, they do seem to be rather annoying ones. For istance, to open/close all branches of the current thread within a folder the Ctrl + (shift)+ +/- does in fact work but if you are at the end of the thread and you want to close all the branches in that thread you have to put the focus back on the first message in order to get the close shortcut to work. It is just as easy or quick to click on the (+) sign to do the same thing. If you try to close the branches while you are at any message other than the first one, without changing the focus, it doesn't work.
