You can leave the handle empty. I created two entries in my address book, o n e each in separate groups and added two email addresses to each entry. Even if I delete the Handle, the "Duplicate handle error" still crops up when I try and select one of the addresses to use. I have verified that the error must be because the same _email_address_ appears more than once in the same address book. The error message is therefore misleading!
