I hate SPAM as much as the next guy, but I actually subscribe to a
rewards program, and a few other sites that send HTML mail I actually
want. While again, it's not a crisis to have to click another link to
view it, it's certainly an inconvenience. Actually, I don't even need
to see the inline content in all cases, but I just hate seeing place
markers, exclamation points, etc.

That's pretty much my point, but keep in mind that in my case, I've
already verified the origin of this e-mail with PopTray, and it's e-mail
I'm expecting. Naturally, there are risks to those who aren't so sure of
the potential content, but that's why I'd favor implementing the
functionality as an option, and not the default.

I see it as an AM vs FM or Mono vs Stereo type thing. I don't *need*
stereo to hear the content of a radio program, but there are cases when
it's a richer experience. Likewise, I think e-mail messages sent with
conservative use of bold text, underscores, italics, etc are sometimes
just plain "nicer", though they don't affect the words themselves in the
least.

Okay, so Opera doesn't make the "A" list. :) My use of the e-mail
client in Mozilla and Opera is primarily one of convenience. I like to
"put my hand down and come up with e-mail", so to speak. Though "ugly"
at the moment, Opera has done a terrific job of integrating e-mail and
the related folders into the browser.

Is that another list, or will beta info be distributed via this list?

Thanks!
