Hello Peter,

Agent *is* an offline news reader.  While there are things I still
hope are improved in Agent v2.0 (in some areas, it can learn a lot
from TB!), I still prefer it for news.

I've heard that there may be a news plug-in for The Bat! at some
point, and while I will be very interested in such a thing for TB!, it
would have to incorporate some *news specific* options that are not
presently part of TB! Just being able to deal with NNTP servers - all
other things remaining the same - would not be enough to get me to
switch from Agent for news.

Since I've not yet seen a single client that can do both email and
news equally well, I'll stick with TB! for email, and Agent for news
(and Message Cleaner to clean up badly formatted news post replies
before sending them off via Agent).
