There's another way around this:

Menu 'Folder' / 'Browse deleted messages'

if you delete a message in the opening browsing window you'll in fact
'undelete' it and it will be restored as 'never been deleted' in this
folder :-)
Nevertheless you'll have the copy in Trash-folder, but for accident
recovery this doesn't matter :-)
