Well, I haven't experienced any unexplained 'rot', but I do have several instances where filters have stopped working, but the explaination has always been a change in the headers/content used to match the filter conditions. For instance my BugTraq filter now has *11* alternates because their server seem to relay whatever people have used to submit their message when it comes to the domain in the address - it can be with the .net og .org version and various subdomains also seem to work so the sender can be one of many combinations (and the recipient is always myself) so I need to have a very flexible filter for this list. My advice? - Check the headers/body of the 'missed' messages *very* carefully and then look at your filter conditions. I'm pretty sure you'll find some tiny change somewhere that causes the filter to miss.
