HI! tbudl: I know I'll be slapping my forehead when I get the right answer but here goes...
When I reply to a message and I want to delete part of the message, I highlight text and then press delete on my keyboard expecting to delete it. Nothing in the highlighted block gets deleted but the text just outside the block does get deleted, one character at a time. When I highlight the text block and go to the menu bar and press edit/delete it works as expected. Why can't I do this action on the keyboard in a single keystroke? (Instead of pressing alt e, d to delete the text.) I tried playing about with the formatting options and steam,line and column but none of those approaches seem to make any difference.
