Someone replied to the following (unfortunately I lost his/her
message).

================Start of original message text===================

TheBat! uses the original From address and not the original ReplyTo
address, even when there is an original ReplyTo address.

Is there something I must do to enable replies to the ReplyTo address?

================End of original message text===========

The reply stated that TheBat!'s default mode is to reply to the
ReplyTo address. He/she suggested that I probably had made a change
in my Reply Template that needed to be fixed.

One of my accounts still has the original Reply template, that came as
part of the TheBat! download.

==== TheBat!'s Original Reply Template ==============

Hello %FromFName

%DateEn %TimeLongEn you wrote

%Quotes

%Cursor

-- Best regards, %FromFName            "mailto:<percent sign>FromAddr

==== end TheBat!'s Original Reply Template ============

(note: in the real original template <percent sign> is replaced by %)

TheBat!'s original Reply template always replies to the From Address
of the message being replied to, even when the message being replied
to has a Reply Address that is different from its from address. (I
guess TheBat!'d default mode ISN'T to reply to the ReplyTo address.)

I tried augmenting the Reply template in one of my other accounts, by
adding this first line to it.

%To="" %To=%OReplyAddr

In other words, Clear the To field, then copy the original reply
address into the To field.

The augmented Reply template causes all replies to be sent to the
Reply Address of the message being replied to, even when there is no
Reply Address in the message being replied to. When there is no Reply
Address in the message being replied to, the To field of the reply is
empty: the address must be entered manually.

What I need is a Reply template that will reply to the Reply address
of the message being replied to if, and only if, there is Reply
address. Otherwise, the reply will go to the From Address of the
message being replied to.

By the way, is the need for such a default Reply template a bug or a
feature?
