If you are on a Windows machine, you can hit the "Print Screen" button and a snapshot is made of your desktop. If you only need a window, then hold down the "Alt" key.
What this does is create a .bmp and store it on your clipboard. You can then paste it into any graphics or word processing program and use it as needed. Hope that helps! Michael T.
