Not really, not when you know the product history and pedigree.

It takes a core re-write to replace the old-style Delphi 2 toolbars
with the customizable Delphi 6 versions. Stef and Max at RIT have been
busy adding the non-trivial functionality enhancements demanded by the
core user-base over the past couple of years, some of which has
involved proving technologies and concepts for v2. Interface re-writes
have been of low priority by comparison.

The clamour for these new features (okay, no jibes about calculators
and SmartBat! stuff - these were wanted by some VIPs - any response
about this aspect to TBOT please) has kept the core re-write at bay.

I believe it to now be underway.

Then again, while I think that custom toolbars will be both useful and
welcome, I think about how often I use a mouse to control TB and find
it's "not a lot". E-mail is a very keyboard-centric activity. I seldom
use the mouse when in a read, reply, write, send cycle. It's the
browse, maintain, explore stuff that the toolbar would get used for
here.
