This is because they are no longer HTML but have been converted to an
Internal Eudora proprietary format. I have a fairly complex procedure
documented for converting these to plain text that relies on the use
of Mailbag Assistant as an intermediate step:
http://www.fookes.com/mailbag/info.htm. This is not a trivial
exercise.
