If so the message will never get marked as read in preview pane and therefore the filter will never be applied. If not, the message will be marked read (after timeout set in account options) and on focus change _away from message_ the read-filters will be checked and applied if necessary. I'm working this way the whole day on my administrative mails I get from several servers and it works for sure. RMR> even if it mark the message as read. Read-filters will _never_ get applied when the message is manually marked read _AND_ in above mentioned account settings a time out is given for automatically 'mark read'.
