Today I received and installed the latest version of AbacusBat!, on
both my XPh and 98SE machines. On the 98SE one, things got disturbed
because I had to change the executables for AbacusBat! and normal TB!
It's a long story.

Any how, when I got done, and tried to use a mailto: link from MSIE I
got an error message. I changed my default e-mail client to Eudora,
then opened AbacusBat! and answered yes when I got the splash about
whether it should be the default. No change.

The error message is: MSIE could not perform this operation because
the default mail client is not properly installed.

Although I get the error, bat opens, and the edit window is all
properly working. I tried changing the default and answering the
question again, but still no change. I have gone to
options/preferences and installed the bat as the simple MAPI request
handler (several times). I copied tbmapi.dll to windows/system, and
renamed the dll in the bat directory. When installing the bat as a
simple mapi request handler then failed, I renamed the dll back to its
proper name.

Still the same error message.

Strangely enough if I open Word Perfect 10, create a link and activate
it, I get no error message.

It took so long to open Word Perfect that after the next reboot I did
it in MS Word 97. I get the same error message saying MSIE can't
perform the operation.

I tried Netscape, and I don't get the error message.

MSIE is 6.0.2.2600
Netscape is 6.2
Word is 97 sr-2
