The email load has become too great. Even with threading, the time to download messages or even headers and then to weed through them has, in my opinion, slipped over the line of cost:benefit.
Isn't it time we created a newsgroup where messages could be posted and read, even retained for a period of time? It would not have to be carried widely on various ISP's; it could still be hosted by the very generous people who are now hosting the archives or by RITlabs themselves. Any interest in this?
