Tja, you see the problem. If they don't send upon check, then there is
something wrong with the Combined Delivery setting. But I am no
further. Combined Delivery means that all messages in the Outbox
should be sent when checking for mail. Yet this does not seem to
happen.

Let's look only  at *that account*. The automatically generated
messages on my machine where always sent "deferred". They were put
into the Outbox, and the next time this account checked for mail, they
were sent. You mentioned in another message in this htread that you
have set to send immedaitely. Switch this to deferred and see whether
it works. (I'm fishing with this one.)
