Bats- Any experience using The Bat! as a service under Windows NT / 2k server?
I've currently got it configured as a System Task set to launch on restart, but that has the following problems: 1. it's running behind the scenes. If I double-click on the desktop icon, of course nothing happens because it's already running. I can't use it that way unless I log on through Terminal Server, and 2. it's not actually checking my accounts. I know this because no new mail shows up until I stop it running as a system task and launch it manually. So...I'm thinking of not running it as a System Task and running it as an NT service. Is anyone doing this now? Pros and cons of doing this? Would it even work that way? Would I be able to launch it from the desktop if the service is running in the background? Any other ideas? -Mark [EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! v1.60h on Windows 2000 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 2 ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.60m FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Bug Reports: https://bt.ritlabs.com
