Thomas- Point well taken. But it still seems to me that the mid: link is *only* useful in the TBUDL context, or in a similar situation where a group of users has the same set of email archives to each other. If I send you a mid: link to some other folder in my system it's useless to you. And a waste of bandwidth, to get back to your point. All the mid: link did for me was to bring up the search window, since I had already deleted the original reference.
