Actually what I've got in mind is something that would include

[EMAIL PROTECTED]">mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
and
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg42263.html

in some simplified manner. I'm not familiar with the interaction
between the listserv and the web archiving software, so I don't know
how or even if this is a possibility, but if it's something that can
be achieved it seems to me that it would be quite useful (at least for
TBUDL).

You do bring up several interesting points. For example, I think that
there is no way for TB! currently to differentiate between a personal
email and a list email. I can put a mid: link to any email anywhere in
my hierarchy of folders, mail it to myself, and find it again easily.
However, this doesn't really add any ease of use over the F7 key.
