Yes, but I don't count eye candy as "technical advancement". Remember
that the MS UI standard for W2k and beyond is SDI and non MDI. Tabbed
browsing is MDI and they can't implement it without being completely
hypocritical (which they are anyway but let's not get too picky).

FWIW I recently installed Mozilla and must say I think it's really
good! Still not up there on DOM, but very fast and solid feeling. A
huge improvement on NS.
