At one point I had a problem viewing Cyrillic chars in html messages. That was after my first computer crash when I reinstalled The Bat! What helped me was just to play with the Editor and Viewer options and change the fonts. Some screen fonts do not support Cyrillic characters even if you have the proper keyboard and encoding selected.
