That is called "dash-escaping" and is what PGP will do whenever it
encounters lines beginning with dashes, as it does not want to confuse
itself with it's own Headers... all of which begin with 5 dashes.

Yes... but aside from perhaps a custom RegEx, I don't think there is
anything you can do about it.
