There might come a time the format and/or version number of VDF file
is changed in a way the command line executable don't like.
They don't only update virus definitions but sometimes the 'scan
engine' too.
And than, from time to time, it's necessary to update the 'scan
engine' (the executable) for it to work with the new VDF file.

So if some time your scanner brings out error messages and complains
about the VDF file you know it is time to update the executable file :-)
