thanks. I have tried importing 1 folder at a time but some folders are too large. The entire mail file I am trying to import is only 125mb so I can't see how a single folder should be such a problem but agreed it I do believe it might be the swap. don't suppose I can change the swap file size?

Hmmm. TB has no size limit (other than the drive's size), so I guess it may be the swap file. Rather than changing your Windows setting, I would try to import the messages in chunks, i.e. not all at the same time. I don't know whether it is possible, though (never used the new import-from-Outlook function). BTW I love the size of your footer. Almost missed the actual message, though. ;-) -- Cheers, Thomas.
