That's something we've discussed here a bit, but we never got anything
other than 'computer error'. It might be sensible to defrag and
scandisk the harddisk with your messagebase regularly. I don't think
it has to do with this problem, but it's also sensible to purge and
compress often and to keep the number of messages in a folders below
the 10000. (Depending on your hardware TB tends to slow down accessing
so many messages in one folder, especially as the drive is fragmented
too.)

Don't know, the same reason that the account.flx file gets altered,
might also be the cause that other files get corrupted. Losing a
folder will mean that any folder templates (and other settings) will
be lost too, otherwise you'll be safe.

Nevertheless it's wise to make back-ups on a regular base.
